OK so let’s deal with first things first.
You think I’ve lost my mind and I better prove to you that I haven’t if I expect you to read any further..
What I’m suggesting makes sense. I’ve given it a lot of thought.
The world is changing. Fast! And there’s one major thing behind all this change. Computers. There’s one thing that drives a computer that you and I probably don’t know how to do. And that’s to cut code.
Of course there’s the hardware too – the screen, the CPU etc … but that’s best left to the manufacturers in China. Chances are you and I don’t have the funds to compete with Foxconn, Dell, and Toshiba.
But what about using the computers? I mean really using them.
Getting behind the scenes and tweaking it so you can get it to do repetitive tasks automatically. Knowing what drives the programs that you use every single day – day in and day out.
Sure it’s easy to grab a mouse and a keyboard and do what you need to do. But that doesn’t leave you with a whole lot of options if something goes wrong.
Or what if you decide you need a website to promote yourself or your product? Everyone has one these days. How do you know if that quote of $7000 to build your site isn’t a sham? Sure they quoted you 100 hours of work at 70 bucks an hour … but how do you know if 100 hours is reasonable?
It’s time to understand the basics that go into creating code. Cause if you don’t you’ll be left behind. Far behind.
Here are a few reasons why you need to learn how to program.
So what are you waiting for?
Be the change you want to see.
