Atomic Habits
Some time ago, I spoke to James Clear, the author of Atomic Habits.
James talked about habits being the compound interest of self-improvement. The drip, drip, drip approach to building a habit through consistent daily practice can snowball over time and yield astounding results.
The results almost always exceed what we expected. As long as we practice something consistently, the results are always astounding.
One of the best ways to encourage ourselves to develop habits that stick is to change our environment to promote that habit.
So if you want to watch less television, then don’t have all your lounges and chairs facing the TV. Better still don’t have a TV at all.
