That’s how many minutes we have in each day. And the first few of those 1440 minutes sets the tone for the rest of the day.
Making wise choices about how we spend those first few minutes is a good predictor of how effective we’re going to be.
Choosing to spend the first few minutes checking our emails and responding to them puts us in a reactive mindset. This can easily degenerate into a slippery slide of putting out fires. In my experience, it often does.
On the other hand, choosing to spend the first few minutes investing in ourselves, by meditating or exercising can have the opposite effect.
